I recenly came across a gem of a video which has literally been nearly 40 years in the making.

The video is a youtube version of “I Met The Walrus” which is based on a conversation between a 14 year old boy called Jerry Levitan and John lennon around 38 years ago.

I then discovered after a little research that the original animation was made between 2006-2007 and has successfully been promoted since its premier in a Toronto nightclub in March 2007. It has also been nominated for a raft of awards but is only now coming to the attention of the mass market due to its success at film festivals the world over.

The conversation is heard in the background of a short digitally mastered animation which is drawn by artist James Braithwaite. In the only 2 months since it was added to youtube it has had over 750’000 views, 45 video responses and over 3OOO Text Comments.

One of the best John Lennon quotes in the film is where John promotes a non violent protest for peace “Do everything for peace, piss for peace or smile for peace, go to school for peace or don’t go to school for peace, whatever you do just do it for peace“.

Wow, dangerous stuff (not), now I see just why the establishment were so scared of him !!  :)
