From time to time I come across some very disturbing animations which are cleverly used in the ever more popular viral video sharing method, which is used to promote the companies or websites of the people who make them.

It used to be that animated cartoons were a safe and sure bet for keeping the kids happy when you needed a bit of peace and quiet … well not any more, in fact in my opinion recent short animations trends have shown a marked shift to the darkside.

Now I am not saying that all animated cartoons are disturbing, however, it just might be a good idea to be a little more careful about the next animated cartoon you think may be ok for the kids to watch.

Simply taking at face value seemingly innocuous sounding titles such as Charlie The Unicorn and Charlie the Unicorn 2 (which has had around 6 and a half million views on youtube) is simply not entirely safe anymore.
