Not that long ago it was expected that members of the UK society (amongst others) followed a strict class code in which everyone was expected to know their place.

Now though the distinction between upper class, middle class & working class has become somewhat blurred.

More than ever now people are starting to realise that their place in society is no longer designated by a few people at the top of society and they are being enabled to rip up the outdated old society rulebook and decide for themselves exactly where their place in life will lie.

For example, if you were to ask a typical UK teenager what they would like to do when they leave school, your more likely to get an answer such as “I want to be a TV Celebrity, Journalist, Writer or even Pop Star” rather than the former aspirations such as becoming a Doctor, Teacher or indeed something close to my heart (because my dad was one) a Coal Miner.
