Nitrogen trifluoride is 17,000 times more potent as a global warming agent than a similar mass of carbon dioxide so I was surprised when I read the following article in a Nasa Official Report

* Nasa – Potent Greenhouse Gas More Common in Atmosphere Than Estimated

Now the wording from above you need to note is that this gas which is used during the manufacture of liquid crystal flat-panel displays, thin-film solar cells and microcircuits is 17,000 times more potent as a global warming agent than a similar mass of carbon dioxide and the information also points out that it survives in the atmosphere about five times longer and is at least four times more prevalent in the atmosphere than previously estimated.
