Baroness Scotland of Asthal, the UK Attorney General has just been fined £5000 for “unknowingly” hiring an illegal immigrant as her house maid.
The borders agency said they believe that the Baroness did not know she was breaking the law but in the UK ignorance of a particular law is no defence.

In fact Baroness Scotland in particular (and the people who guide her) should not been ignorant about the illegal immigrant law because apart from being the Attorney General she also helped get this particular law passed by parliament.
The Baroness she seems to has achieved much in her life despite personally being quoted as saying
“In my family I am bog-standard – They see me as normal.”
Unfortunately it looks like that famous phrase “what goes around comes around” has unwittingly claimed yet another victim.

I read about an actuary who calculated that the odds of a man’s trousers falling down if he was wearing both a belt and suspenders was about 35,000 to one. What would be the odds of a man’s trousers falling down while wearing only a belt? What about only suspenders?
W69: I’m not sure what this comment has to do with this particular post but at least the question deserves an answer.
The odds would be considerably increased because if he was ONLY wearing a belt or suspenders his trousers could not fall down as he would not have any on.
