The blatant use of toxic substances, the exploitation of scarce environmental resources and the use of bio and technological sciences could and in the past already have altered the natural environment of our planet.

Some of these concerns about this exploitation was brought to our attention by the publication of the Wingspread Statement On The Precautionary Principle over a decade ago.

The findings also stated that “existing environmental regulations and other decisions, particularly those based on risk assessment, have failed to protect adequately human health and the environment”.

So, what has happened in the last decade? … do scientists, big business & governments now take even more precaution when testing out new scientific theories or embarking on their latest venture to provide us with adequate supplies of food, healthcare, energy and “safe” living environments.

Do they actually use precautionary principles or do they pay scant regard to them and/or have the reports findings actually been modified since 1998?

What precautions are they taking to protect us from the effects of Global warming, air pollution, water pollution and other forms of enviromental health hazards such as the use of pesticides on our food.
